I can’t take credit for uncovering this delightful find – it was my twittering friends over at DuJour Mag who introduced me to the lovely blog of their intern, Kim, called La Couturier.
A young fashion fanatic and eloquent writer, her blog is an instant pick-me-up. Each of her posts is so heartfelt, honest and personal; reading one is almost akin to discussing fashion and style with your best friend who’s truly in the know.
But her blog goes beyond merely fashion advice, she discusses everything from the latest ‘it’ bag, to creating the perfect workspace in which to let your ideas run wild (Reviewed this post recently @designtavern.com!) to the ups and downs of heartbreak.
It was her birthday on April 5, and her post of the day exemplified the insightful and wise words this young ‘bloggerette’ shares with her readers:
“Quite excited; another year passed, and so many more to go. It’s quite fantastic, getting older. Birthdays are not reminders of physical aging (as so many women tend to think), but instead, a celebration of learning, loving, experiencing, failures, and successes – all of which help to pave the way for another year yet to come. A fresh start, so to speak. To head into the next year of your life.” – April 5, La Couturier
The bottom line is, the blog is unpretentious, clever and an utter pleasure to read! It’s jumped right to the top of my favourites as it brings a smile to my face with ever visit. I’d stay tuned, if I were you.
Please check out La Couturier – you won’t be sorry! – and let me know what you think!

Omgsh! I just happened to stumble upon this (it showed up in my feed or something). I cannot even begin to describe how flattered & happy I am from reading this; this is perhaps the sweetest thing anyone’s ever said about me/my blog. I think I’m blushing ;]
Thank you sooo much!
Bisous,
La C.
